Maintain Trucks

Hold everything together.
Here's a career that will make sparks fly, literally. And, while you'll be responsible for holding part A and part B together, your employers will consider you to be the person who holds the whole operation together! You'll be put in tough situations, but as a Welder, the challenge is yours to piece together.
- What would I do?
- Where would I work?
- How much would I get paid?
- How do I get to be a Welder?
- Where would I go from here?
- How do I get started?
What would I do?
As a Welder, you'll use a wide variety of smarts, skills and abilities to cut, gouge, weld, tack and fabricate truck and trailer parts. Because welding requires you to piece things together, you'll need to have good mechanical skills, plus the ability to plan ahead and think both sequentially and three dimensionally.
It is important to note that in some provinces and jurisdictions, you must have your provincial trade ticket to be a Welder.
