What would I do?
As a Rate Clerk, you'll be responsible for calculating and determining the rate that customers are charged to move their freight. You'll also be responsible for preparing invoices and account statements, as well as performing other related clerical duties in the accounting department.
You may be called upon to work with the customer's accounting department, so customer service and communication skills are useful. Accounting and computer skills are also helpful, as is attention to detail.
